About Us

David Johnson started working in the construction industry in the 90's while attending college
at Appalachian State University.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial
Technology with a concentration in Residential Construction.    While working his way
through college as a maintenance engineer for a local business, he also worked for several
independent contractors either building new homes or renovating older homes in Banner Elk,
North Carolina.     This is where David gained an appreciation for quality construction,
materials and techniques.    Several years later, after a successful career in Transportation
Management, David decided to go into business for himself doing home remodeling projects.
Those projects turned into a hobby once he decided to help others by becoming a home
inspector.

David is now licensed in North & South Carolina as a full-time dedicated home inspector.
His reputation for honesty, accuracy & integrity is upheld while participating as an active
member of ASHI and NCLHIA.  AHI Home Inspections abides by the North Carolina
Standards and Procedures as well as the
ASHI Code of Ethics:

    B.  Inspectors shall not inspect properties under contingent arrangements whereby any

party unless agreed to by the client(s).
